Ask yourself why?

Educate yourself

Give yourself some time
I’m glad you took the time to come here today and thought about giving veganism a try!
Before we begin, I wanna let you know that if you get any doubts while going through the article, feel free to reach out to me on my socials linked below.
Also, please do know that I by any means am not trying to preach veganism! This blog is just to help you dive into the world of veganism without being forceful.
Know your WHY
There’s no right or wrong.
It’s just the way we look at things.
Why do you need to figure out your WHY to choose veganism?
This is something I did when I started. Back then, I just tried it without telling myself that I'll be committing to it for an entire lifetime. My why back then was just out of curiosity and I just wanted to experience how I would feel. But, I somewhere felt proud about the fact that I wasn't harming any innocent being and that did give me a feeling of wanting to continue my journey as a VEGAN.
So, what's your WHY?
P.S. We might have a completely different perspective. And, I just shared what I felt back then.
So, your why could be...
could be...Some health issues,
could be for the environment,
maybe for the animals...
or could be that you just want to give it a try.
Along the journey, you might have questions regarding why are you doing this. And at these points, your initial why will help you be committed and remind you why it matters.

The art of KNOWING doesn’t lie in a KNOW but in a NO.
We’re all students of life irrespective of our age <3
Curiosity is the key to evolution.
Why do we need to Educate ourselves?
Initially, it was just curiosity. Later on, it was because I felt great!
Moving on, I started looking for healthy meals and started educating myself about nutrition. Here, I was just spicing things for myself and making things interesting so that I keep on learning and implementing more and more of these teachings in my own life.
Also, I was aware of the protein and B12 debate and that made me even more interested in digging into the roots of nutrition.
Educating yourself also includes Looking For Vegan Alternatives!
This was a comparatively tough step because back then, there weren't as many vegan alternatives and even if the alternatives were there, I wasn't aware of them.
I used to be very restrictive because I wasn't aware of the alternatives and I thought I'll never have ICE-CREAMS, CURD, MILK, CHEESE, or anything that originates from dairy. But, when I came across the veganized versions of dairy-related products, I was so shocked and happpyyy!!

SLOW progress is better than NO progress.
We LEARN only when we IMPLY
Take it slow!
I made a lot of mistakes and I had that instant guilty feeling. I didn't make those mistakes knowingly and yet I felt terrible. I never had a conversation with anyone about this which is why...
I wanna say this to you. Take it slow and allow yourself some space to make mistakes but LEARN from these.
By starting slow, I mean to say that you can start by planning just a vegan meal and since it's just one meal a day, you have enough time to sort out the alternatives and have a preview or quick recap of the procedure. This slow progress will help you not feel burned out and you wouldn't feel that a lot has to be changed.
Being a little slow also helps with Mindfulness.
This planning stage depends on how willingly you wanna go vegan. I didn't start slowly and I made a lot of mistakes. Which now for me feels alright.
You can start by veganizing your favorite non-vegan dish.

Basic vegan alternatives:
Dairy Milk: Soy, almond, walnut, rice, oat, cashew and so many more types of nut and grain milk exists in the market
